The Eagle River Golf Course originally opened as a nine hole golf course in 1923. In 1988, it was expanded to eighteen holes. It has now become one of the top public courses in the Northwoods and the state. It has hosted many prestigious tournaments, two of them being The Channel 7 Invitational and The Wisconsin PGA Match Play.

This course receives a Four Star Rating every year from Golf Digest. This rating is achieved by our customers, rating us based on their playing experience while golfing at our course. We work very hard to provide the best customer service possible. The amenities offered provide golfers with a great golfing experience. The bar and grill offers great food and refreshments.

The driving range is comprised of three large tees with target greens and yardage markers. We offer a sloping practice green which is similar to many of the greens you will encounter out on the course. There is a practice bunker and green to work on your play out of the bunker. The Pro Shop carries a large selection of clothing.

We have one of the largest ladies' clothing selection in the area. The ladies' lines we carry are; E.P. Pro, Jamie Sadock, Greg Norman, Sun Mountain, and Lady Ashworth. The shop also offers a big selection of men's clothing. Men's clothing lines are Ashworth, Greg Norman, Adidas, Sun Mountain and Cutter and Buck.

PGA Professional Brad Missling offers clinics and private lessons to all skill levels.

Opened in July 1993 as a nine hole course and expanded to eighteen holes in 1996, the St. Germain Golf Club is one of the most scenic and enjoyable golf courses in Wisconsin. There are several parks and beaches available for family fun offering a variety of enjoyment including picnic areas and shelters, beaches, playgrounds, boat launches, fishing piers, tennis, volleyball and basketball courts, and baseball fields.

Located on Big Arbor Vitae Lake which is just off of Hwy. 70 in Arbor Vitae. Boat landing, beach, restrooms, picnic area.


Bond Falls

Bond Falls is one of those "best kept secret" spots on the Western Upper Peninsula that you want to make sure you do not miss. This beautiful water fall is located on the middle branch of the Ontonagon River near Paulding. Although it does not get the "press" of more famous U.P. water falls, Bond Falls has a large following of admirers and had even been part of a calendar listing the most scenic natural places in the world!

Boat Hoist at Burnt Rollways Dam

If visiting by car take Hwy. 45 South to Meta Lake Rd. to Dam Rd. Located in Three Lakes. Put into operation in 1911 to allow boaters to continue travel between the Eagle River and the Three Lakes chain. Open the Saturday before Memorial Day until September. "BATS" Boulder Area Trail System

Paved trail from the Boulder Junction Chamber office to Crystal Lake on Hwy. N. 11 miles of trail touring forest, lakes & streams. Also connects to the Sayner/Plum Lake Trail and St. Germain paved trail.


Anvil Lake Trail

Anvil Lake trail located 8.5 miles east of Eagle River off Hwy. 70. 12 miles of marked and groomed trails. Plowed parking is located just East of Anvil Lake Campground entrance. Cross country skiing, Snowshoe trail. Shelter, toilets.


Bearskin State Park Trail

Open year 'round to bikers, hikers and nature lovers. 18 miles of trail begins in Minocqua. Picnic sites, wooden bridge crossings and wildlife. Call 800-446-6784 for more information.


Escanaba - Pallette Lakes Trail

Escanaba Trail is located 7 miles south of Boulder Junction off Nebish Road. This 8.5 mile trail is very scenic. It connects with Lumberjack Trail. Intermediate to Expert cross country ski trail.


Fallison Lake Trail

Located across from Crystal Lake Campground on Hwy. N., west of Sayner. This trail is 1.5 miles long. Cross country ski trail.


Franklin Lake Trail

Franklin Lake Trail is at the Franklin Lake Campground. From Eagle River take Hwy 70 East to Military Road. (FR2178) Turn right and go 3 miles to Butternut Lake Rd. Turn left and go east 5 miles. This trail is a 1 mile loop, very scenic.


Langlade County ATV

Over 125,000 acres of forest with 500 miles of trails. Located in Parrish. From the north or south Hwy. 17 to Cty. Q East to Cty. H south to Five Cent Rd. Follow to trailhead or shelter.


Long Lake Nature Trail

Located 3/4 of a mile from Holiday Acres Resort on South Shore Drive in Rhinelander.


McNaughton Trail

McNaughton Trail is about 13 miles south of Woodruff. Take Hwy. 47 through Lake Tomahawk; then turn right on Kildare Rd. This is a 5 mile trail.


Nicolet North Trail

Nicolet North Trail is located 11 miles east of Eagle River ff Hwy. 70 East. Turn right on to Fornier Road and go south 3 miles to parking lot. 15 miles of marked, groomed and double tracked trails.


Nordmarka Cross Country Ski Trail

Nordmarka Cross Country Ski Trail is located in Eagle River. Go north on Hwy 45 to McKinley Blvd., then east 1/2 mile to the Golf Course. 6 1/2 miles of ski trails on the golf course. Park in the back.


Nose Lake County Trail

Located north of Hwy. 8. Take County N to Hancock Oneida Road 2 1/2 miles, then SE on Nose Lake Road. 5 mile and 9 mile loops for both hiking and cross country skiing.


Powell Marsh Trail

Take Hwy. 51 to Hwy. 47 west, go 9 miles to Powell Road. Turn left onto Powell Road. 7 miles of gently rolling terrain.


Raven Trail

Raven Trail has 4 loops ranging from 1.5 - 5 miles and is located about 3.5 miles southeast of Woodruff. Take Hwy. 47 east toward Rhinelander; then turn left on Woodruff Road. Go 5 miles to Raven Nature sign.


Razor Back Ridge Trail

Razor Back Ridge Trail is located 2 miles west of Sayner on Hwy. N by The Corner Store. This trail encompasses 30 kilometers of scenic trails groomed for classic and skate skiing as well as a marked snowshoe trail. There is a heated chalet with indoor bathroom. An ice skating rink is adjacent to the chalet and lighted for night time skating.


Schlect Trail

Schlect Trail is located approximately 1-1/4 miles south of Minocqua. Take Hwy. 51 south to Leary Road. This is a 2.2 mile trail.


Scott Lake Trail

Scott Lake Trail is located in Three Lakes. Take 32 E and S 5 miles to Scott Lake Road. Turn left, go 4 miles to trailhead. Park on N side of road.


Shannon Lake Trail

Shannon Lake Trail is located 2.75 miles north of St. Germain off of Found Lake Rd. and offers 3 loops approximately 7 miles long. This trail is especially good for advanced skiers.


Statehouse Lake Trail

Statehouse Lake Trail is 2 miles west of Manitowish Waters on Hwy. 51; then go east on Old Hwy. 51 for 3/4 mile. The 3.8 mile trail has very few steep hills and has beautiful scenery.


Three Eagle Trail

This 8 mile biking/hiking/X-C ski trail runs from Burnside Park which is on Hwy. A in Three Lakes past the winery and out into a beautifully preserved marsh wilderness and continues into Eagle River.


Washburn Lake Trails

Located off U.S. Hwy 8. Take County N to Washburn Lake Road and follow to the trail head. 8.5 mile trail. Moderate, some difficult.
